Letter of Recommendations
Need a Letter of Recommendation?
It's important to plan ahead while completing your college or scholarship applications. Please allow at least 3 weeks time when requesting a letter of recommendation. If you do not already have a resume on file, download the Personal Data Sheet below, and provide this to your teacher/counselor/advisor/coach when asking them to write a letter for you.
Steps to Request Letters of Recommendations
1. Check to see if the college you are applying to requires a letter of recommendation
2. Ask the staff with a face-to-face request if they will write a letter of recommendation for you
3. If you are applying directly to the university please add the request in Naviance. If you are applying to the university using Common App please add the staff member in your Common App.
4. Remember to follow up with a thank you and let the staff member know if you were admitted
