Driver Education for Tigard and Tualatin High School Students

Here is our Spring 2025 information. Our classes are for in-District students only.

We recommend that students have at least 15 hours of driving practice before taking this class.

 Online Application Monday, February 17th, 2025. 8am-8pm. You must have your permit and upload a picture of it. Take your time to fill out the form correctly. We use a random lottery draw. Due to instructor shortage, class size is limited. You MUST let us know of any scheduling conflicts during the application process. Once the classes and car groups are set, it is extremely difficult (sometimes impossible) to move people around.

All applicants will be notified of their status via email by Feb 24th.

Fees due (either online or to the school bookkeeper) by Feb. 28th.

For those who are successful at getting a spot, our first meeting is Monday. March 17, 7pm in the Tigard HS Commons. See schedule.

2024-2025 Fees: (Checks payable to TTSD Driver Ed)

Once you have been notified that you made it into a Driver Ed class, the fees may be paid either online or to the high school bookkeeper. Please be aware of the due date in the acceptance email letter. You may lose the spot if you miss the deadline.)

$375 Age 15-17 with Permit

$100 Age 15-17 with Permit (Free/Reduced lunch program)

$585 Age 18 or will turn 18 before the end of the session or you currently have your license or get your license during the class. (Not eligible for a DMV Drive Test Waiver.)

$310 Age 18 or will turn 18 before the end of the session or you currently have your license or get your license during the class. (Free/Reduced lunch program)(Not eligible for a DMV Drive Test Waiver)
