Driver Education for Tigard and Tualatin High School Students

Posted March 29, 2025

Here is our Summer 2025 information. Our classes are primarily for in-District students. If there is room, we will accept out of district students for the summer session. All Summer classes are at Tigard HS.

Summer Schedule 2025: Click here for Summer Schedule

WATCH THIS VIDEO ON HOW TO UNDERSTAND THE SCHEDULE. Really, you should watch this video. It will help during the application process.

Please read our FAQ document

We recommend that students have at least 15 hours of driving practice before taking this class.

Online Application is Monday, May 19, 8am-8pm.

You must have your student permit and upload a picture of it.

If you are eligible for Free/Reduced Lunch, please upload a copy of your Eligibility Letter.

Take your time to fill out the form correctly. Missing or incorrect information means your application can not be processed.

When you apply, you must indicate which class(which determines your car group) you are signing up for. If you are able to be in any class (and associated car groups), you will have an opportunity to tell us that.

You MUST let us know of any scheduling conflicts during the application process. Once the classes and car groups are set, it is extremely difficult (sometimes impossible) to move people around.

We use a random lottery draw.

All applicants will be notified of their status via email by May 23.

Fees due (either online or to the school bookkeeper) by May 30.

For those who are successful in getting a spot, our first meeting is the Mandatory Student/Parent night on Monday, June16 at 7pm in the Tigard HS commons.
